Mea Shearim, 2019—2022

Mea Shearim is a long-running project about one of the oldest and most traditional ultra-Orthodox neighbourhoods in Israel, located in Jerusalem. Mea Shearim is a place known for its religious conservatism, with its residents largely made up of ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Jews who follow a strict interpretation of Jewish law and customs. The project discovers the everyday lives of this vibrant community, offering a unique perspective on a world  steeped in tradition and ritual. The Orthodox Jewish community in Mea Shearim represents a fascinating aspect of Jewish life and culture, with its distinctive dress, customs, and practices.
